Meet the Pooch Patrol

Meet Lara (Watola) Evans

Lara is a native born Arizonan, and dog lover to her core! She loves all animals, but has always had a deep devotion for all the doggies. She went to Kiva Elementary, Saguaro High School, and graduated from A.S.U. with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. She was a personal trainer for a couple of years, before deciding to go back to school and earn a degree in Elementary Education. She then taught 2nd grade to inner city children for the Isaac School District. In 2000 Lara was married, and became the Mother of two beautiful boys, Ben and Ryan. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home Mom to Ben, Ryan, and George (their Bernese Mountain Dog), for a few years, before going thru a divorce. Now a single Mother of two boys, Lara knew she had to go back to work. She loved teaching, but needed a few more classes to get her certificate current. So while she was figuring out what the heck she was gonna do with the rest of her life, she began to watch her friends dogs for extra money. Since she had so many friends with dogs, and couldn't be with all the doggies and her boys at the same time, she thought maybe she should get some help. So, with a lot of research, net-working, and creativity.....Doggie-Smyle was born in 2006.

"We have had the pleasure of servicing over 200 clients in the Arcadia and Biltmore area. I have met many wonderful people and their pets, and have made life-long friends in the process. We are lucky because the people who use our services, are good pet parents, which almost always means they are
good people. One of my many favorite quotes is " A man's soul can be judged by the way he treats his dog." I have found this to be true:)"

Meet Kristi Denny

Kristi has been with Doggie-Smyle for three years now, and loves every single client. Her favorites are "paw"jama parties (over-nights), because she loves to snuggle! Kristi is from Topeka, Kansas and is currently working on her Masters degree in counseling. She wants to counsel children using animal therapy. Kristi has a very happy energy about her, is very calming, and all the animals adore her! When she is not studying, or playing with all the Doggie-Smyle clients, she loves to do Yoga and spend time with her fiancé, Matthew.

Meet Ashley Norton

Ashley has been with Doggie-Smyle for over 3 years! She was one of the Pooch Patrol's first girls and dog enthusiasts! "My mornings couldn't get any better than this", Ash says while walking one of her furry friends. Ashley's main position here at Doggie-Smyle is traveling house to house to care for
the pups on an early morning walk schedule, mainly for package holders (see our package options). Her favorite clients are those that sign up for the Pampered Pooch because then she gets to bond with your dog every day! Ash is also known to run your dog, or take them up mountain trails and to the park upon request. She spends most of her nights singing in bands around the Valley (check out her amazing music at www.ashleyEnorton.com). Ash loves to hang at home, in her down-time, with her adorable Eskipoo named Lucy Sky.

Meet Karen Thiel

Karen is from Kansas City, Missouri, and has lived in Phoenix since 2002. In a time of transition between leaving her past job and starting a new company, Karen joined the Doggiesmyle Team to increase time spending doing what she loves...being around animals! Karen is a licensed counselor in the state of Arizona and wants to eventually apply her experiences in the counseling field towards avenues which promote the use of animals for human happiness and healing. Along with her love of animals, Karen enjoys yoga, writing, and traveling.

Meet Kristin Andrean

KristinMy name is Kristin Andrean and I was born in Denver Colorado. I was raised in Chandler Arizona and I absolutely love this state. I am a person who is self-motivated, proactive and resourceful. I am also a dynamic leader who motivates and inspires through example and integrity. I grew up around all kinds of animals and feel that animals are a part of the family and make you feel wonderful with their unconditional love. My family owned horses, dogs, cats and birds, so I am experienced and familiar with the responsibilities of taking care of pets. Loving a pet can bring joy to your life and the relationship can create a unique bond that dramatically enriches our lives, our physical health and our emotional well-being. I am excited to create that warm and fuzzy bond with the new pets that I will meet.

I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to work at what I love most! I look forward to spoiling your fur kid. I love being outside playing with or walking dogs and did I mention I know canine massage? I truly believe "dogs are no tour whole life but they make our life whole."

Those around her would describe her as loving, responsible, and positive….someone who loves to laugh. In her spare time she loves to spend time with her adorable French bulldog Capone as well as reading, working out and being with friends and family.

Heather Campbell

Heather was born and raised here in the valley of the sun and is currently a senior in mechanical engineering at ASU. Her love and understanding of animals stems from growing up with many dogs and horses around her home every day! She is interested in traveling, pursuing a career in aerospace, and most importantly, enjoys her beloved sheltie, Sadie. Heather strongly believes that all dogs deserve the utmost love, care, and respect, and she knows, first hand, what joy and companionship they can bring to our lives. She joined Doggie-Smyle to be there for others, who have a strong passion for pets like herself, because she knows how important quality pet care is. Heather is very reliable, trustworthy, and personable, and she looks forward to taking awesome care of your furry loved ones!

Laura Hanlin

Laura grew up in a family with animals all her life.  The pets in her home ranged from cats and dogs to hamsters and bull snakes.  Having always been an animal lover, naturally now as an adult, she had 2 cats, 1 dog, 2 fish and a hamster.  As a single mom, it was important to give her son a life that included animal friends in the family, which has made him a very happy little guy!  A native of Mesa, Arizona, she is excited to be able to share her love and enthusiasm with some of the ‘local AZ pet population’!
